
Chargers Fall to Saddleback 13-7 Despite Strong First Half Performance
Chargers Battle Hard But Fall Short in Fourth Quarter Against Saddleback
CYPRESS, CA – The Cypress Chargers Women's Water Polo team faced a tough conference matchup against Saddleback, falling 13-7. The game was tight through the first half, with the score tied 5-5, thanks to a strong defensive effort and several blocked shots by the Chargers. Jillian Van Gemert (#8) provided a standout moment with a no-look backhand goal in the first half.
As the game progressed, Saddleback pulled ahead 8-7 by the end of the third period. Unfortunately, Cypress was unable to find the back of the net in the final quarter, while Saddleback netted five straight goals to secure the win.
