Coming off a game where seemingly every shot found the back of the net, the Long Beach City College women's soccer saw the opposite occur on Thursday, being held scoreless in a 0-0 tie at Fullerton College.
Long Beach rolled to a 13-0 rout in last Friday's season-opener against Miramar College but had all five of its shots on goal denied by Fullerton.
The Vikings' defense also played well, limiting scoring chances by the Hornets. Goalkeeper Jocelyn Sotelo needed to make just one save to preserve the shutout.
LBCC, now 1-0-1, returns to action on Tuesday (Sep. 7) when it hosts San Diego Mesa College in a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
