Women's Soccer All-Orange Empire Conference Teams Announced

The conference coaches convened over the weekend to select an All-Orange Empire Conference Team.  Saddleback College led the way with 11 total selections.

Saddleback finished in first place in the Orange Empire Conference, so it is of no surprise that the Bobcats had the most representation on the all-conference squad.  Saddleback was led by Chloe Green and Alyssa Sims, who garnered two of the four major awards with the conference MVP going to Green and the Defensive MVP going to Sims.  Joining Green and Sims was Orange Coast College's Sydney Powell and the coaching staff from Saddleback, who won the Offensive MVP and Coaching Staff-of-the-Year awards, respectively.  Saddleback had four other players selected to the first team in Summer Hackett, Emma Radzai, Alexa Livingstone and McKenna Pua.

Santiago Canyon College and Cypress College tied for second on the all-conference ballots with six players apiece being selected to the all-conference teams.  Elyse Valenzuela, Jordan Salinas and Kiera Hanna were all named to the All-OEC First Team from Santiago Canyon while Celine Gehrig, Chloe Imperiali and Abigail Morales made the first team from Cypress.

Santa Ana College had two players selected to the first team in Brianna Mejia and Brianna Montano.   Orange Coast College also had two selected in Leah Martinovic and Katrina Shoga.  Golden West College had two players selected to the first team in Abby Kirby and Olivia Villalba.  Irvine Valley College had two players selected to the first team in Merlin Serpas and Cyann Whitley.  Fullerton had one selection to the first team in Yaritza Morales.

The 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament starts on Wednesday and three teams from the Orange Empire Conference made the field.  Saddleback was named the 2-seed and will host the winner of Antelope Valley College and Los Angeles Pierce College on Saturday.  Cypress was named the No. 6 seed and will host Santiago Canyon, who was tabbed the No. 11 seed.
