The Orange Empire Conference has long been a force in women's soccer and the coaches assembled to pick the all-conference team at the end of the regular season. Saddleback's Maliyah Medley leads an impressive group of talent.
Medley was named the Orange Empire Conference MVP after scoring 21 goals during the regular season, 12 of which came in OEC play. She had eight game-winning goals during the course of the year and led the Bobcats to an OEC co-championship along with Cypress.
Saddleback and Cypress both had four others make the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team after tying for the league title. Santiago Canyon had three players named to the OEC First Team while Golden West, Orange Coast, Fullerton and Santa Ana had two aiece and Irvine Valley had one.
The Orange Empire Conference had three programs make the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Regional Tournament in Saddleback, Cypress and Santiago Canyon. Cypress is the lone remaining team in the playoffs after defeating Saddleback, 1-0, on Saturday night to advance to the CCCAA State Tournament this weekend.
