The Orange Empire Conference softball coaches voted on All-OEC teams and awards following the conclusion of a highly competitive season.
After winning their first OEC Championship since 2001, the Santa Ana Dons took home the Coaching Staff of the Year award while Emily Rosas was voted the unanimous selection for Pitcher of the Year. The Dons also had four named to the All-OEC teams and saw Alana Rangsuebsin named Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Cypress College took second in the OEC standings and raked in the hardware with a total of five players making All-OEC teams. Emily Rush was named Most Valuable Player and Cameron Curiel was tabbed Co-Defensive Player of the Year
The Santiago Canyon Hawks finished a close third and also had five make it on to All-OEC teams. Alyssa Yslas earned a share of the honor for Co-Defensive Player of the Year as she anchored the SCC defense.
Fullerton College had three players honored on All-OEC teams after a fourth place finish.
Saddleback College followed right behind with two selected to the teams while the Orange Coast Pirates and Golden West Rustlers both saw one make the All-OEC teams.
The Rustlers also added Jazmine Rodriguez to the four-way tie for Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Now, the Orange Empire Conference will send four teams to the CCCAA SoCal Regionals on May 6-7th.
