The Saddleback men's water polo team remained in the hunt for the Orange Empire Conference championship with a 13-11 win at Orange Coast College on Wednesday in Costa Mesa.  The Bobcats took a big lead and held on for the win.

Saddleback had a big first half, outscoring the Pirates 11-5 in the opening 16 minutes.  Donald Robertson gave the Bobcats a 2-1 lead at the 6:43 mark of the opening quarter, and Orange Coast would never get even again.

Robertson (pictured) would add five more goals for the game in leading the Bobcats with six on the afternoon.  His final goal of the game came with 2:53 remaining and gave Saddleback a 13-8 lead, thus thwarting an OCC comeback.  The Bobcats would hang on for a two goal win to remain in a tie for first place.

Saddleback is now 10-2 overall and 3-0 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats will play again next Wednesday at Riverside City College.  Game time is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
