Hornets Garner Five Spots for Men's All-Conference Team

Orange Empire Conference-champion, Fullerton College, earned itself several top spots on the 2024 All-Orange Empire Conference Men's Soccer Team, as selected by the coaches at their end-of-season meeting.

FC's Andrew Areola was named the OEC Defensive Player of the Year, while head coach, Greg Aviles, earned Coach of the Year honors. Areola helped anchor a Hornet defense that allowed just 15 goals all season in 23 matches and that strong play helped lift Fullerton to a 10-0-4 conference record, en route to the squad's third straight OEC title.

Fullerton's first-team selections included Evan Yoell, Cesar Marquez, Hayden Kenny and Max Ron, while Steven Martinez, Ryan Moreno-Rojas and Jair Vargas earned second-team honors.

Santa Ana College's Paul Carrillo was named the OEC Offensive Player of the Year with 11 goals (8 in conference – tops in the OEC, including a pair of two-goal performances against Irvine Valley and Golden West.

The Dons, who finished second in the OEC standings at 8-3-3, had three first-team selections, including Miguel Gonzalez, Gerardo Serna and Bryant Pineda.
