EL CAJON, CA- The Orange Empire Conference Coastal Division traveled to Willow Glen GC at Singing Hills Golf Resort on Wednesday, April 13th, for their final Division tournament of the season.
After back to back second place finishes, the Cypress Chargers took home first place with a team score of 363.Cypress shot a team average of 72.6 carding the lowest team score by two strokes as they held off the Orange Coast Pirates who finished with a 365 seeking their first tournament victory of the season. The Saddleback Bobcats (370) and Cuyamaca Coyotes (372) were not far behind, as Wednesday was the most competitive Coastal Division tournament of the season.
Devin Schaffer finished as the event medalist with a tournament low, two-under par (70) winning his second tournament of the 2022 campaign. Diego Bremer (Cuyamaca) carded his lowest score of the season along with another great performance from Clayton Smith (Saddleback) who both finished with a 71. The Orange Empire Conference saw six players shoot even par (72) as the tournament as whole boasted an impressive performance.

UP NEXT: The OEC Championships at Temecula Creek GC will be played on Monday, April 25th. The Championship will consist of the two-rounds including all 10 conference teams beginning at 7am.
