Orange Empire Conference (OEC) men's golf kicked off in early April with seven teams on the quest for a conference title. Like many years in the past, the OEC has hosted in multiple schools to create a competitive field for the 2021 season. This season, the likes of Cypress, Orange Coast, Riverside, Saddleback, Mt. San Antonio, Mt. San Jacinto, and Victory Valley will face off a handful of times at various courses.

The season teed off at Spring Valley Lake Golf Course hosted by Victory Valley College. Saddleback College led the way in round one posting their best overall team score (369) in the last eight seasons. Their victory was the first multi-team event win since 2017.  Mt. SAC gave Saddleback a battle to the end in round one shooting a team total of 375, but it was not enough to catch co-medalist Chase Bosanko who shot a 2-under-par 70. Bosanko shared the medalist honors with Riverside City College's Theo Delehanty who also shot 2-under-par.

SAC's, Amaan Patel, who carded a 5-under-par 67 which is the lowest round in the last two years in the Orange Empire Conference. Patel showed consistency all round long shooting a 34 on the front nine and a 33 on the back nine. Amaan's performance propelled the Mounties to a team victory as well shooting a tournament leading, 370. The Mounties put on a dominant performance as all six players shot in the 70's. The Cypress Chargers and Riverside Tigers trailed close behind finishing 11 strokes above Mt. SAC with a score of 381 and a share of second place.

The third round took place at Victoria Country Club hosted by Riverside City College. Jordan Medlock of Riverside fell just short of the individual victory in round two, but that kept him ready to hunt in round three. Victoria CC played tough for all participants, but Medlock used the home course to his advantage. After shooting an even par at El Prado the previous week, Medlock bounced back with a 1-over-par 73. Medlock knocked in an eagle on hole-14 to push his lead ahead of Saddleback's Patrick Jaksch and Mt. SAC's Bryan Saw who each finished with a 2-over-par 74. Mt. SAC continued their amazing performance taking the team victory in the second week in a row with a score of 377. The Mounties have scored in the 370's in all three tournaments for an average score of 74.8 per player. Orange Coast College had their best showing of the season scoring a 383, and taking second place in the tournament. Michael Lin and Lucas Renner of OCC each carded a 3-over-par 75.
