In the last two games, the Lady Hornets have lost needed Orange Empire Conference games on goals scored in the final minutes.
Fullerton lost last Friday 1-0 at home to Orange Coast on a goal that was scored in the 89th minute. Tuesday was eerily similar as FC fell 1-0 on the road to Saddleback in the 90th minute on a penalty kick.
Although it is only their third OEC loss on what has been one of the most successful seasons in the last ten years, the Hornets are in a serious fight for a playoff spot sitting in fourth place at 7-3-3 in one of the toughest conferences in the country. Santiago Canyon (12-1-1) is in first place, Cypress (8-2-3) in second, and Orange Coast (8-3-2) in now in third. Saddleback (6-4-4) is now breathing down FC's neck in fourth place.
Up Next: Fullerton (10-4-3 overall, 7-3-3 OEC) will play Santa Ana College at home this Friday, November 3rd at 3:00 pm. Come on out and support your Hornets.
