Riverside City College took on defending 3C2A State Champion Orange Coast College Friday night, but couldn't hold off the No. 3-ranked Pirates, 87-39.
The Tigers drop to 9-9 on the year and 0-2 in Orange Empire Conference action, while the Pirates improve to 15-3 overall, 2-0 in conference.
Talia Washington led RCC with 18 points (6-for-21), while N'Dya Parks added 11 points (5-for-12). Michelle Soto led the Tigers' rebounding effort with 13 boards.
Shots weren't falling for Riverside as it shot 24.2 percent from the floor, including 23.1 percent from beyond the arc, while OCC boasted a 40.0 shooting percentage.
The Tigers hit the road for their next two contests, first heading to Irvine Valley College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
