No. 19-ranked Citrus College fell to No.14-ranked Fullerton College 80-47 last night in the first round of the 3C2A SoCal Regional, marking the end of another imposing season for the Owls.
Citrus College finishes the year with an 18-11 overall record, while Fullerton College goes to 19-10 overall on the year and will compete against No.3-ranked Moorpark College in round 2, this Saturday.
The Owls played a competitive first quarter, leading 17-16 going into the second quarter. Fullerton College outscored Citrus in each of the final three quarters to secure the first-round win. Overall, the Owls shot 31% from the field and went 5-of-18 from beyond the arc while the Hornets went 50.8% from the field and connected on 11-of-24 from three-point range.
