Golden West College Men's soccer team secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Orange Coast College on Friday afternoon at the GWC Soccer Complex. With this win, the Rustlers improved to 2-8-3 overall and 2-4-2 in conference play.

After a scoreless first half, Golden West came alive in the second. In the 50th minute, Diego Piñion broke the deadlock with a well-timed strike, assisted by Brice Martinez. The Rustlers doubled their lead in the 75th minute when Carson Dykes as he outplayed the defense, scoring unassisted to seal the victory.

Golden West dominated offensively, recording five shots on goal out of nine total attempts. Goalkeepers Trevor Jones and Charlie Murray shared responsibilities in net, each playing 45 minutes and recording three saves apiece to secure the clean sheet.

NEXT: The Rustlers will travel to Santiago Canyon College to take on the Hawks on Tuesday, October 29th with a 3pm kickoff.
