The MSJC softball team struggled over the last week as they dropped a trio of road games at Saddleback, Palomar, and Golden West.
The Eagles started their road trip with a 9-3 loss at Saddleback. In that game MSJC scored a single run in the top of the first and the top of the third to build a 2-0 lead before the Bobcats answered with seven runs in the bottom of the third. Bailey Heuer and Trinity Barnes both had two hits and an RBI for the Eagles, Natalie Juarez also drove home a run. Trinity Robinson, Mia Quiroz, and Ellianna Pasley all pitched in the game for MSJC.
Thursday at Palomar the Comets broke open a close game by scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth and 3 more in the bottom of the sixth to defeat the Eagles 7-0. MSJC could only manage four hits in the game, two were by Annalie Castanon.
MSJC ended the three-game road trip with an 8-0 loss to Golden West on February 11th. The Eagles bats once again were kept quiet as they collected just three hits in the loss. Castanon, Madison Morris, and Aubrey Morrow had MSJC's hits.
The Eagles are now 3-3 on the season and will return home on Saturday February 15th when they host Glendale in a doubleheader. Saturday's first game is scheduled for noon.
