Men's Water Polo Has Strong Performance on Recent Road Trip

The American River College Men's Water Polo closed out a three day road trip last week which included stops at Fresno Pacific University and Cuesta College for the annual Cuesta Tournament.

The Beavers began the road trip defeating NCAA Division II affiliate Fresno Pacific University 10-8.  Jack McGoldrick led the Beavers with three goals, while Caden Rutan and Mateo Ruano were credited with two assists each in the match.

After their match with Fresno Pacific University, the Beavers traveled to Cuesta College to play some of the top community college programs in the state of California.  The Beavers began day one  of the tournament defeating Riverside City College, 17-6, and Mt. San Antonio College, 14-6.  Day two would see the Beavers defeat Orange Coast College by a final score of 12-8 and drop a hearbreaker to Cuesta College 14-13.  

After the road trip, the Beavers record improved to 7-5-1 overall with their tie and three of their losses coming against NCAA affiliated institutions.  The return to Big 8 Conference action on Wednesday, October 2, as they travel to play Diablo Valley College at 5 PM.
