Comets Blast Past Tigers in Five

Riverside City College took on its fifth ranked team of the year Friday, but couldn't get anything going in a 15-0, five-inning loss at No. 5-ranked Palomar College.

The Tigers drop to 2-7 overall, while the Comets improve to 8-2 on the year.

Rebeca Razo had the lone hit for RCC with a single in the top of the fifth, but the damage had already been done as Palomar ended the game early by putting the run rule in play.

The Tigers turn right around to host the College of the Canyons on Saturday for a pair of games, with first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m. The doubleheader kicks off a six-game homestand for RCC.
