Cubs defeated by Golden West 2-1

The Los Angeles City College Men's Soccer Team returned for the start of the 2023 3C2A Fall Soccer Season, and opened by hosting Golden West College. 

The game was a thrilling one, as both teams looked to score early but it would be the LACC Cubs who would get on the board first with a header from Freshman Chris Ferrufino that would sail into the corner of the goal to put the Cubs up 1-0 before the break. 

Golden West College would tie the game on a penalty kick with only 2 minutes left and LACC would finish the game with 10 players, allowing GWC to gain momentum and finish the comeback, giving the Cubs the loss in their home opener.

LACC will travel to College of the Sequoias next on a big road trip game up to Visalia, on Tuesday 8/29 for a 2pm kickoff.
