Men’s Tennis Starts off Strong with Win Over Glendale

It was a great start to the 2023 campaign for the Riverside City College men's tennis team as they began their season on the road against Glendale College. The Tigers were nearly flawless on the day by winning two of the three doubles matches, followed by five singles wins in straight sets.

Sophomore Rafael Rullan acted as the top singles player and set the tone by earning a 6-1, 6-3 victory. Freshman Emilio Real followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the third position, while sophomore Carlos Rullan held it down at the fourth position with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Freshman singles players Austin Harvill and Raphael Delente each cleaned up at the fifth and sixth position, respectively. Harvill earned a 6-2, 6-3 win, while Delente bagged a 6-0, 6-0 win.

The second and third doubles positions earned wins for the Tigers with freshman Emilio Recchia and Real working an 8-1 win. Sophomore Anant Bhika and Harvill capped the day with an 8-1 crowning.
