DAY ONE OF THE COLLEEN RILEY CROSSOVER IS A HORNET WINNER

Playing in nine straight road-games this season, the Hornets finally got to play on their home court opening up the 44th Colleen Riley Holiday Crossover with a 73-66 win over College of the Canyons.

It was a fourth quarter push that helped land the Fullerton victory as Xochitl Hood's jumper broke up a 54-54 tie at 8:36. From there, the Hornets controlled the ball and the game taking a 67-61 lead on Kaylee Shimoda's three-pointer with over a minute left in regulation. With time running out on the Cougars, FC hit all of its free throws, when forced to the line, to finish off the game.

Hood was the game scoring leader and rebounder putting up 25 points while bringing down 14 boards for the double-double. Kaylee Shimoda and Jasmine Arnold both added 16 points each. Shimoda brought down 5 rebounds and had 4 assists. Armold had 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks.
