It was a strong showing for the FC men's soccer team on Friday afternoon, who kicked off the season with a 2-0 road-win against a solid Chaffey College squad.

2022 OEC Player of the Year Misael Gonzalez picked up right where he left off last season scoring a pair of goals in the 67th and 75 minutes. The assists were from freshman Evan Courtney.

New freshman goalie keeper Mario Floriano stepped up big for the Hornets with 5 saves, while keeping the Panthers scoreless.

Up Next: The Hornets (1-0 overall) head back out on the road, as part of a month-long road-trip, when they play at Bakersfield College on Tuesday, August 29th. Game time is at 2:00 pm.
