No. 5 Women’s Soccer Falls on the Road at Irvine Valley, 1-0

Irvine – The No. 5 Cypress women’s soccer team dropped a road contest at Irvine Valley on Friday afternoon, falling 1-0 to the Lasers.

Irvine – The No. 5 Cypress women's soccer team dropped a road contest at Irvine Valley on Friday afternoon, falling 1-0 to the Lasers. The Chargers are now 13-2-4 overall and 10-2-4 in the OEC, while IVC is now 12-3-4 on the season and 9-3-2 in conference play.

Irvine valley scored the only goal of the game in the 24^th minute of the first half. Cypress had several shots on goal, but could not find the back of the net.

Prior to Friday's win, IVC had never beaten Cypress since it started competing in 1992.

The Chargers return home for their regular season finale on Monday, Nov. 10 at 3:00 pm when they face the No. 1 team in the conference and state, Santiago Canyon (15-0-3, 12-0-2 OEC).
