Huntington Beach, Calif. – The Golden West College Rustlers continued their strong start to the season with a commanding 9-1 win over the East Los Angeles College Huskies on Tuesday afternoon at the GWC Softball Complex. The Rustlers' offense erupted for five runs in the third inning, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

After East LA got on the board in the fifth with an RBI single from Sophia Priebe, the Rustlers responded with another run on a Santiago RBI single, making it 7-1.
The Rustlers capped off their scoring in the sixth when Demiana Mitry grounded out to second, bringing home Frei, and Candice DeMayo singled down the left-field line to drive in Makayla Bandaruk, securing the 9-1 run-rule victory.
Golden West's ace Desyree Arizmendi delivered another stellar performance, improving to 3-0 on the season. She tossed a complete game, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out four.
