The Panthers had a big day yesterday, traveling to Saddleback and taking out the #7 Cougars 1-0.
"Saddleback was a big win for us," exclaimed Head Coach Grace Cooper! "They are one of the best teams in the state and we proved to be a team that can show up and win big games."
The teams remained scoreless into the 2nd half when Julia Galdamaz scored an unassisted goal 54 minutes into the game. Autumn Gomez defended the net for the entire game, holding the Cougars scoreless with six saves.
"We had a phenomenal second half and played with a lot of grit and that's what won the game for us! We also were missing a few key players so to get this win at Saddleback was amazing!"
