
The Ventura College men's tennis team traveled to Orange County to take on Saddleback College and remained undefeated with a 8-1 win. Corey Karen and Hironori Koyanagi teamed up to claim a win at No. 1 doubles and both won their singles matches in the No. 1 and No. 2 slots.
Ventura (7-0, 4-0) snapped a three match streak of shutting out their opponents, but claimed another dominant win by sweeping all three doubles matches and claiming five of the six singles contests. VC dropped just three sets in all on the singles side with four of their five wins coming in straight sets. Karen allowed just one total point. Evan Gazic picked up a win at No. 5 singles and allowed just two points in his straight sets victory.
Ventura will return home on Saturday Mar. 5 for a 1:00 pm match up with San Diego Mesa College. Then on Thursday Mar. 10 they will host Santa Barbara City College in a Western State Conference match up.
