NORCO -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team continued its fine play on the road with a 1-0 victory at Norco College on Tuesday afternoon.
The lone tally came in the 30th minute for the Pirates (5-1-1) when Stephanie Serrato took a pass from Kaitlyn Eckert and slipped in a shot past the Mustangs' goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
While the score was close on the scoreboard, the other stats tell a different story. The Pirates outshot the Mustangs, 14-2, in the match. Chloe Hernandez maintained the shutout win for OCC with her two saves.
The Pirates have logged plenty of road miles during the nonconference and will play 8-of-9 away from OCC. Thus far, Coast is an impressive 4-1-1 on the road and will try to improve on that with a Friday match at Pasadena City College, beginning at 6:15 p.m.
