Chargers End Regular Season in the Orange Empire Conference Championships
Cypress Men's Water Polo Falls Short in Conference Finale
CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College Men's Water Polo team wrapped up their season in the Orange Empire Conference Tournament, going 0-2 in hard-fought matches against Orange Coast and Saddleback.
On Friday, the Chargers faced Orange Coast College, starting strong and trailing by just 3-2 early in the game. However, Orange Coast surged ahead with a 5-1 run in the second period, reaching an 8-3 lead by halftime and eventually defeating Cypress 11-5. Wes Brazada and Porter Rosenlof each scored two goals for the Chargers.
Cypress returned Saturday to face Saddleback in another intense matchup, but despite a team-wide scoring effort, they couldn't secure a lead, ultimately falling 14-10. Every starter scored in the game, with Rosenlof leading the charge with four goals.
The Chargers conclude their regular season with a 13-12 overall record.
