Marauders Softball has started its 2025 season with four straight wins. A 20-0 win over Victor Valley, a 14-2 win over Pasadena City, a 4-3 victory over Riverside, and a 10-7 win over the previously No. 1 ranked Fullerton Hornets.
AVC has been led offensively by Natalia Hernandez and Marley Delgado. Hernandez, a sophomore infielder from California City High School, leads the Western State-South Conference with a .750 batting average that includes 9 hits, 3 RBI, and no strikeouts through 12 at-bats.
A freshman first baseman from Coachella Valley High School sits atop the conference standings for RBI with 13 and is tied for first in home runs with 3. Analise Memory (.556 batting average) and Jeannette Camarena (2 home runs) also rank in the top-5 conference leaders.
Defensively, Payton Marlin leads the Marauders in the circle with a conference-best 1.91 ERA. The freshman from Quartz Hill High School also leads the WSC-South in strikeouts with 19. AVC has been solid in the field with just 2 errors through 24 innings.
The Marauders will next host Rio Hondo College for a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 7, at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
