Fullerton earned its 5th shutout of the season at home on Friday afternoon holding Compton College scoreless 3-0.
The Hornets had plenty of opportunities to score in the first half but could put the finishing touches on the ball to convert.
Entering the second half with a 0-0 tie, the FC soccer team kept its patience and finally hit paydirt in later in the game on a goal by Chance Alviso.
Alviso struck again just a few minutes later putting the Hornets up 2-0.
With less than ten minutes left in the game, Jose Luis Ruelas Jr. placed the ball into the back of the net from 20 yards out.
Although harassed a majority of the game by FC's swarming offense, Compton goalie Anthony Pina was impressive with 12 saves.
Fullerton goalie Andres Ramirez had a light day with one save in 90 minutes.
Up Next: The Hornets (6-2-1 overall) will begin Orange Empire Conference-play on Tuesday, September 28th when they hit the road to take on Golden West College. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
