Men's Basketball season comes to an end in 2nd round of 3C2A Southern Cal Regionals
The Men's Basketball 2024-25 season came to an end in a 2nd round loss the visiting Cypress Chargers, 81-65. The 7th seeded Raiders came into the game as WSC North Champions and had hope to advance in the regionals but a cold shooting night spelled doom for the Raiders. The 65 point output was one of the lowest on the year for a team who had been averaging 83 ppg.
Cooper Lucas led the Raiders with 13 points. Jordan Torres scored 12 points and Dominik Contrearas chipped in 11 points. Isaiah Sherrard added 8 points and 10 rebounds.
The Raiders opened with a 9-0 run and although early, it looked like the Raiders would boatrace the Chargers. Cypress would eventually get off the bus and go on a 18-8 run to tue the game with 9 minutes in the 1st half. The Raiders would tie it at 28 with a little over 3 minutes to go in the half but Cypress used a 8-2 run to close out the half, 36-30.
The Raiders would keep it close throughout the second half but Cypress closed out the game on a 27-10 run.
The Raiders close out the season with 20-9 overall record. 10-2 in WSC North conference standings. Back to Back WSCN Championships and #13 regular season ranking
