On Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th the American River College Men's Water Polo program traveled to West Valley College to compete in the Nyquist Tournament.
On Friday, the Beavers took on Fullerton College. After trailing 4-3 at halftime, the Beavers were able to take the 5-4 lead in the 3rd quarter. Fullerton responded with a goal in the 4th quarter ultimately leading to the game ending in a 5-5 tie.
On Saturday, the Beavers took on Merced College. The first half was a back and forth contest, with each team scoring two goals. However, in the second half Merced was able to seize momentum and pulled away from the Beavers, resulting in a 9-3 victory for Merced.
Men's Water Polo will be back in action on Wednesday, September 14th, as they host Diablo Valley College.
