Palomar Sweeps Santiago Canyon to Earn Third Win of the Season

ORANGE, CA (3/5/2025) -- The Palomar College men's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night, sweeping Santiago Canyon College 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-20) to improve to 3-8 on the season.

Tyler Yraceburn powered the Comets' offense with a match-high 13 kills while hitting an efficient .375. He also added five digs and a block assist. Nolan Apodaca contributed eight kills with a .500 hitting percentage, while Sebastian Gomez chipped in seven kills and two block assists.

Setter Jacob Rangel guided the offense with 27 assists, helping the Comets hit .287 as a team. Defensively, Palomar held Santiago Canyon to a .132 hitting percentage, with Justus Pfeiffer and Apodaca combining for seven block assists at the net.

With the victory, Palomar looks to keep the momentum going as they return home to face Orange Coast College on Friday at 6 p.m.
