Bobcats sweep away Hornets

The Saddleback women's tennis team evened its record at 4-4 for the season with a 9-0 win against Fullerton College on Tuesday in Fullerton.  The Bobcats finished the regular season in third place heading into the Orange Empire Conference Championships.

Saddleback made quick work of Fullerton, who entered the day shorthanded with just four players on the game-day roster.  The Bobcats had a 48-10 advantage in games won in singles play while losing just four games in doubles.

Raya Johnson and Vanessa Gee overpowered the duo of Shay Gill and Emma Wagner, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles while Kavelle Tomaiko and Emily West handled business over Samantha Trujillo and Jamie Hunt at No. 2 doubles, 8-3.

Gee (pictured), Tomaiko and West would all go on to win twice on the day while Johnson sat out singles play.
