SOFTBALL TAKES TWO CLOSE ONES - LOOKS TO REBOUND NEXT WEEK WITH FIVE-GAME SERIES

Panther Softball gave it their all over the last 24 hours suffering losses to Riverside City (3-0) and East LA (4-3).  "Our pitchers put up a good game but our hitting just wasn't there," said Head Coach Jerry Tivey.  "We'll be working on that this week."  The team plays five games next week starting at Canyons on Tuesday.

"We're a young team," added Tivey, "with a lot of freshmen.  We've been able to pitch four of our five pitchers this week and are starting to see what we can do.  We'll be ready for the conference season to start and the competition we'll see from those teams."

The Panthers play three of their five games next week at home: Wednesday vs Rio Hondo and a doubleheader Saturday vs LA Mission.
