Owls Wrap Up Season Against Chargers

The No.5 ranked Citrus College Women's Water Polo team took on No. 12 ranked Cypress College in the first round of the 3C2A SoCal Regionals last Thursday, November 14th resulting in a 13-7 loss.
The Owls and Chargers battled in this close contest as the score was tied 2-2 after the first quarter and tied 5-5 at halftime. Cypress pulled away in the second half, scoring eight goals compared to two by the Owls.
Although the Owls were not able to advance in the 3C2A SoCal Regionals they got strong performances in round one, led by Kori Cunningham and Marieona Reedy who each scored two goals. Gabi Terry and Marieone Reedy each recorded two assists. Kori Cunningham led the Owls with four steals while Sarah Jurado and Natalie Abril each recorded two steals.
Citrus College wraps up a successful season going 15-16 overall and 3-2 in conference games.
