In a battle for the top spot in the Orange Empire Conference standings Friday night, Saddleback College held onto its undefeated conference record, while No. 23-ranked Riverside City College fell in a 3-0 loss (25-22, 25-17, 25-14).
The Tigers slip to 11-5 on the year and 5-1 in conference action, while the Bobcats improve to 10-3 overall, 6-0 in OEC action.
Kilyn Hayes led RCC with nine kills, while Riley Chaffee finished with nine digs defensively.
The Tigers look to regroup next week as they head to Golden West College for a 6 p.m. contest next Wednesday.
