Two doubles teams qualify for state

The Orange Empire Conference Tournament finished up at the Saddleback Tennis Complex on Friday and two doubles teams ended up making the state tournament.  The two duos will compete in Ojai later this month.

Adrian Cole and Max Banks (pictured) scored an 8-1 win over Daniel Jeong and Henry Doan (Fullerton College) in the back draw of the OEC Tournament to land a spot at the state tournament.  Matthew Heys and Shota Tokutsu (pictured below) also landed a spot in the tournament by virtue of being the top seed in the back draw and getting a bye.

In other news, Saddleback coach Kamron Khalili was named the Orange Empire Conference Coach-of-the-Year by the conference coaches.  

The CCCAA State Tournament takes place in Ojai, California, from April 27-30.  Pairings will be announced at a later date.
