Tigers Put Warriors at Peace

Match Notes:

 

·         RCC showed up ready to play against El Camino College.  The Tigers turned in solid performances at all spots against the Warriors from the South Coast Conference.

·         Sophomore Jordan Gobatie receives the Eco Boost Award (completing the first match of the day with no waste), winning 6-1, 6-0.  Very environmentally friendly.

·         Sophomore Colten Douglass seems to have found his singles groove with a grind-it-out performance at #6 singles, also winning 6-1, 6-0.

·         Sophomores Gustavo Carvalho and Ulises Banos kept the Tigers rolling, dominating the #3 and #4 spots.

·         Freshman Danny Garcia sealed the win for the Tigers in singles at the #2 spot, putting the Tigers up 5-0 for the Team score.

·         In doubles, the sophomore tandem of Carvalho and Douglass put together the strongest performance at #3, winning 8-1.

·         The next scheduled match against LA Pierce College (Tuesday, March 26th) has been cancelled.   The Tigers now look forward to the second round matchup against Saddleback in Mission Viejo on Thursday, March 28th at 2:00.
