CONFERENCE OPENER IS A WINNER

Beginning Orange Empire Conference-play on Friday night, the Hornets won their third straight contest at Golden West College 3-1.

Both the Hornets and Rustlers came out in the first set matching one another point for point, until FC took control 25-23. GWC bounced back in the second set swinging the momentum its way to win it 21-25. Fullerton pounded on the Rustlers in the next two sets to finish out the match 25-13 and 25-16.

Leonardo Mazuco (9 digs) and Hunter Wong-Hin (8 digs) both led the way with 12 kills apiece. Connor Stoebe added 8 kills with 6 digs. Aaron Delgado-Tietze delivered 29 assists with 7 digs.

Up Next: Fullerton (8-5 overall, 1-0 OEC) will head back on the road on Wednesday, March 16th when they take on Santiago Canyon College for another OEC match. Match time is at 6:00 pm.
