For the second consecutive match, the Sequoias men's soccer team shutout their opponent. Tuesday saw the Giants defeat Cypress College 4-0 for their third consecutive victory.
Christian Ibarra scored the only goal in the first half by giving COS an early lead in the 12th minute of play.
Judeh Halim upped the scoreline to 2-0 in the 56th minute. Teammate Juan Velazquez put the match away with his brace, scoring in both the 81st and 85th minutes.
Ramon Zacro-Ibarra and Luis Rubalcava combined for five saves en route to the clean sheet.
COS will travel to Sacramento to compete in the Northern California Community College Showcase. Their first match will be on Saturday against Compton at 10 a.m.
