LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Santa Barbara City College women's beach volleyball team earned a pair of wins Friday, defeating Long Beach City College and Orange Coast College.
Against OCC, the duo of Naveah Tillett and Lina Husek battled to win their third set 15-8, securing a 3-2 victory over the Pirates.
Facing LBCC, Brielle Smith and Carly Hanna won in straight sets, 21-17, 21-17, clinching another 3-2 win for the Vaqueros.
Each Santa Barbara pairing won at least one match throughout the day, with Smith and Hanna emerging victorious in both of their outings.
The Vaqueros improved to 3-1 on the season and will return to action Friday, Feb. 14, at East Beach against Mt. San Antonio College and El Camino College.
