The OEC Athletes and Team of the Week have been named for the week of April 8-14, 2024. 

The Orange Coast College men's volleyball team won its seventh-consecutive OEC regular season title last week. The Pirates remain undefeated on the season at 17-0 and went a perfect 8-0 in conference play. The 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs begin on Friday, April 19. 

Saddleback catcher Rodrigo Barajas (San Diego/Torrey Pines HS) had an outstanding game against first-place Golden West last week. The freshman finished 5-for-6 with two home runs, eight RBI and hit for the cycle. The Bobcats won 27-11, scoring their most runs in a game since 2008. 

Sophomore Jordan Elias (Eastvale, Calif./Roosevelt HS) helped the top-ranked Fullerton softball team extend their winning streak to 13 games by going 6-0 on the week. Elias hit .500 with 10 hits and knocked in the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the ninth inning in a victory over No. 8 Long Beach City.
