At the annual post-conference women's basketball coaches meeting, the OEC coaches selected the First and Second All-Orange Empire Conference Teams, while also selecting a Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year.
Irvine Valley College's Alexis Vail was selected OEC Most Valuable Player. Irvine Valley Head Coach Julie Hanks, whose team won the 2019 OEC Title, was selected Coach of the Year.
Vail was the Lasers' second leading scorer in Orange Empire Conference play (14.5ppg), while leading the OEC in assists per game (7.1apg). Vail scored 20 points in both IVC victories over Fullerton College and scored in double figures in all but two OEC games this season. She also finished with 10 or more assists in four conference games, three of which were double-doubles.
Coach Hanks guided the Lasers to a 22-5 overall record and an outright 2019 OEC Title on their way to the #13 seed in the CCCAA Playoffs. She helped IVC lead the conference in scoring, averaging 73 points per game, while also running an unselfish offense that ranked 11th in the state in assists per game (17.1).
