RCC Men's Cross Country Wins the 2016 CCCAA State Title

FRESNO, CA - The RCC men's cross country team won its first state championship in 22 years at Woodward Park in Fresno, Ca. It is the first time in 12 years that an Orange Empire Conference team has won the state championship and it is coach McCarron's first Cross Country State title making this his seventh state team title from cross country and track in the past 10 seasons.

"This is truly a team effort and I am proud of these guys for coming though in the last two miles of the race.  After finishing 5th at So Cal, Coach Wilson and I believed that this group could step it up at state and surprise the field." Coach McCarron 

Michael Simpson and Joshua Silva led the team and earned All-American honors with Michael Simpson finishing 7th (20:33) and Joshua Silva finishing 10th (20:36). Cade Clark and Terry Jackson had the best race of the season finishing 17th (20:57) and 19th (20:58) respectively, and Isaiah Quiambao was the fifth man placing 36th running 21:15.
