Riverside Crowned SoCal Preview Champions; Four OEC Schools Finish In Top Ten

ORANGE, CA - Finishing ahead of 31 other teams, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's cross country team won the Southern California Preview Championship Friday (Sept. 16) hosted by the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) at Irvine Regional Park. 

Santa Ana and Orange Coast finished 6th and 7th respectively, while Saddleback finished 10th. The Orange Empire Conference's 4 top 10 team scores were more than any other conference in the state. 

Riverside City had racers finish 2nd, 12th, 16th, 18th, and 25th to tally 73 points, easily outdistancing second-place Cuyamaca (100 points). Finishing 2nd was RCC sophomore Joshua Silva with a time of (20:36.98) over the four-mile course. Santa Ana tallied 158 points led by 5th place finisher Paulino Sanchez. Orange Coast finished with 187 points and Saddleback finished with 304 to round out the top 10. 

RESULTS
