IRVINE - With a clean sweep of the top-five runners, Orange Coast College won the 2013 Orange Empire Conference Championship held at Irvine Regional Park. Following the Pirates was Riverside City College in second place, Saddleback College in third pace, Santa Ana College in fourth place and Fullerton College in fifth place.

The Pirates were led by Luis Morales won the individual championship while Brandon Ferguson, Jose Ortiz, Lucio Ramirez and Jay Bonthius rounded out the top five.

Ricardo Medina of Saddleback College finished in sixth place before Conner Garcia of OCC crossed the finish line in seventh place. Santa Ana's Edwin Ortiz-Lopez took eight place and Riverside's Scott Davis and OCC's Cesar Galvez rounded out the top 10.

Coast's perfect finish gave them 15 points, well ahead of Riverside's 62 points. Saddleback scored 91 points while Santa Ana had 128 points and Fullerton had 139 points.
