Men’s Water Polo All OEC Team Announced

The 2016 Orange Empire Conference champion Golden West College places five athletes on the all-conference first team, as voted on by the head coaches of each team. The Rustlers continued their unprecedented streak by bringing home their 28th consecutive OEC title.

Golden West freshman, Peter Lovas was named the Orange Empire Conference MVP. He netted a team high 71 goals, to go along with 41 assists, and 34 steals for the 2016 campaign. Joining Lovas on the first team are teammates James Smith, Lachlan Trabinger, Sid Dymond, and Alessandro Valania.  

The runner-up in the Orange Empire Conference Riverside City College produced four first-teamers, William Moncada, Christopher McVeigh, Jonah Saenz, and Lazar Raca. They finished the season with a 20-10 overall record and a 5-2 mark in conference play.

The third place finisher Saddleback College placed three athletes on the first team, Max Gonter, Daniel Noble, and Jeff Rebrukh. They finished the season 16-9-1 overall and a 3-3 mark in conference play.

Alexander Furlong (Orange Coast), Kevin Dayan (Orange Coast), Alexander Ardalan (Fullerton), and Vincent Barrueta (Santa Ana) round out the all-conference first team.
