Golden West College, Top OEC Men’s Water Polo Predictions

Golden West College (9-0, 1-0) is looking to continue its unprecedented quest for its 28th consecutive Orange Empire Conference title in 2016. They have come out of the gates hot winning their first nine matches of the season outscoring its opponents 143 to 52. The young team made up of 17 freshmen and 4 sophomores came together remarkably fast in preseason training propelling the Rustlers to the fast 9-0 start. The Rustlers are also looking to avenge their 2015 state championship loss to Long Beach City College and capture its state leading 24th Water Polo title.  
 
The always prevalent and tough Riverside CC Tigers (9-2, 1-0) are predicted for a second place finish as voted on by the OEC sports information directors. The Tigers have started the 2016 campaign 9-2 and are looking to build on their 2nd round SoCal Regional finish a year ago.
 
Orange Coast College (8-1, 1-0) is predicted to finish third in the OEC standings. The Pirates came out strong in their opening weekend winning 3 out their 4 matches and are currently riding a 6 match winning streak. Kevin Dayan has led the way for OCC with a team high 22 goals scored through the first 9 matches.
 
The Saddleback College (5-2, 0-1) is predicted to finish fourth, Fullerton College (6-7, 0-1) fifth, and Santa Ana College (2-3, 0-1) sixth.
