Huntington Beach, Calif. - Men's water polo took the sting out of the Fullerton Hornet's handing them a 14-5 loss. As the Rustlers begin conference play, they will defend their 43rd conference title, and their 25th consecutive championship.

Bendeguz Toth added 3 goals against Fullerton while Fabio Mendes, Gabriel Goncalves, and Gilbert Milanes each posted two.

Golden West held a 6-2 lead going into the half as five different Rustlers scored on Fullerton's goalkeeper. The home team then turned up the heat scoring five goals in the third quarter, leaving the Hornets buzzing to chase a six point lead. Bryse Knowles kept the visitors completely out of the net in the fourth quarter, while the Rustlers continued to chip away at their lead, scoring three more in the fourth.
