Men's Soccer: Fullerton Holds Top Spot in Week One CCCSIA Poll, Five OEC Teams Crack Top 20

RIVERSIDE - Following the opening week of play on the pitch, the Fullerton College Hornets have captured the top spot in the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll.

The Hornets begin the season on a three-game winning streak that saw a three-goal or more spread in each victory highlighted by a 4-0 win over Glendale. Taft enters ranked second overall after not allowing a goal in their first pair of victories on the season.

Defending state champion Fresno City got off to a rocky start by dropping two of their first three games, but is still receive the respect with a third-overall ranking                             

No. 5 Santa Ana, No. 11 Norco, No. 13 Santiago Canyon, and No. 15 Goldenwest round out the Orange Empire Conference teams voted into the top 20 with Cypress, Orange Coast, and Irvine Valley all receiving votes.
