Golden West's Nathan DaRosa was named the Orange Empire Conference Most Valuable Player.

Golden West College's Nathan DaRosa was named the Orange Empire Conference Most Valuable Player as eight Rustlers earned spots on this year's All-OEC team, as selected by the conference's coaches at their annual postseason meeting on Monday night.

DaRosa – a 5-foot-11 midfielder out of Kennedy HS – notched 11 goals and nine assists, helping guide the Rustlers to the 2014 Orange Empire Conference title, their second title in three years. DaRosa notched at least one point in 14-of-20 regular-season matches for GWC and notched four game-winning goals.

DaRosa was just one of eight Rustlers who earned all-conference honors, including first-team selections William Lane, Alex Duarte, Alex Velazquez and Fernando Perez. Lane and Perez helped anchor a Rustler defense that allowed just nine goals against conference opponents in 2014. Velazquez notched seven goals and 10 assists for the season, while Duarte (two goals, two assists) provided strong, two-way play for the Rustlers.

Conference runner-up Santiago Canyon had six players earn All-OEC honors, including first-team selections Andrew Sanders, Christopher Martinez and Alexander Rosales. Sanders and Rosales were the anchors of the SCC defense, while Martinez allowed just 14 goals with 48 saves (a 1.73 goals-against-average) in 14 OEC contests.
